Hi Los Angeles! I always love you even though you’re so vast it takes ages to uber or bus around.
I have done some serious shopping here and I will go through all the areas and best finds!
This time I found all the amazing vintage shopping around Melrose. From Resurrection, to American Rebel and American Superior vintage, Melrose Avenue has it all. Graffiti and retro diners also make up this funky part of town.
T shirt Topshop
Mini skirt, Bershka
Ankle boots, New look
Basket bag, thrift store, $6!!!!
I bought another amazing basket bag oops! But $6 from a thrift store…. how could I not!! ??
I also got some vintage dresses ready for Coachella !! I will do a blog of all my fashion looks for the festival. They were from Animal House in Venice Beach, which has everything you can think of. I got a slip dress and a boho embroidered folk style dress.
Whilst at Venice, we paid a visit to what was Jim Morrison’s of ‘The Doors’ favourite watering hole ‘Hinano’. You can just imagine him sitting in the corner with a whiskey.
We also headed over to Fairfax Avenue where the old famous ‘Canters’ deli has fed numerous musicians post-show and was a hippie hang out in the 60’s.
High street shopping I think, is best at ‘The Grove’ shopping centre or in Santa Monica. Urbanoutfitters is my favourite! I got some cool sunnies and a bikini.
Sunglasses Urban outfitters
And we did literally see the La La land fashion, as we visited the Fashion Institute’s display of movie costumes. The Sienna Miller 20’s dress for ‘Live by night’ was a sequinned delight!
Little Mexico had the best painted satchel bags and embroidered folk tops.
