It’s our frst wedding anniversary on January 28th and the gift is paper, wtf? I don’t usually do cards so maybe my gift can be a card, its paper right? I have also got us a cheeky little trip to Paris so I think that should be a winner! Apparently, paper is the traditional gift and the more modern gift is a clock?
Richard’s gift to me was a supprise meal today! I do love to eat ๐
The only things I was allowed to know were: the nearest tube was Oxford Circus and the dress code was smart and arty…..OK!!??
Green dress, Zara, similar here
Patent ankle boots, Newlook ยฃ27.99
What to wear? When I woke up today, it was 2 degrees and snowing….thanks England. I hate the winter so I immediately suggested an uber to the venue! I chose my Zara folk style, embroidered green velvet dress, warm but smart. This was teamed with patent newlook boots, tights ย (obvs) and my vintage basket bag!
The venue was ‘Sketch’ and it was awesome! The carpet was a thick, green grass like texture and the walls were a fairy forest. The toilets are famous for their egg like cubicles with soothing bird noises and coloured lights. A definite photo opp!
We ordered cheese to start. Drink of choice was a white wine for me while Richard opted for a ‘Sketch’ blood Mary! I hadย salmonย for main and Richard had pork belly. More wine and a dessert of custard pie and pecan salted caramel ecclair finished the date!
Here’s a little throw back to our January wedding in Wales last year…it wasย MY FIRST EVER BLOG
Which reminds me, it’s my blog’s birthday on Feb 5th! There might be a little competition in that ๐

Looks really cool!
My partner lives in London, but he’s up north visiting me at the moment. I just showed him the photos and asked him to take me! Unfortunately, he’s a major grump and claims to “not like fancy places”. I may have to scowl at him! Ha!
