Haha I just realised I didn’t blog about what we did and where we went for my birthday in May…. OMG!!
Jumpsuit, Christy Dawn, $220
Mary Jane ballet flats, Topshop, £15
Basket bag, Topshop, £26
Let start with ‘Rules restaurant‘!!! The oldest one in London apparently with walls full of horse riding medals and stuffed animals (not that I appreciated that bit at all).
Espadrilles, Topshop, £39
It has a long history of popularity with writers, artists, journalists and actors, serving traditional British food.
We started with a cocktail. Their mixologist only offers ten cocktails as “long lists confuse people”. I opted for the ‘Kate Middleton‘ and I think it the best I’ve had. It’s a mixture of gin and vodka with sugar candy. It was purple with a bright red cherry on top!
Midi skirt, Newlook, £24.99
Straw bag, Topshop£22
Choose love top, Asos, £19
For food, I chose duck with hazelnuts and gooseberries with dauphinois potatoes, delish! Richard went for steak and kidney pie with amazing pastry!!!
White blouse, H&M, £19.99
Saltwater sandals, £59.99
Dessert was also epic! I went for coco brûlée with chocolate pistachio shortbread and Richard had golden steamed pudding with custard. It was all washed down with a gorgeous rosé (obvs). We were well and truly stuffed!!
Book a table at rules here!!!
The day after we had tickets for Blossoms band in Kentish Town forum. We had some pre-drinks in the local pub first then off to watch the boys.
While I was in the pub, Look magazine contacted me asking me to do a shoot for hair and makeup. So to top off my birthday, the day after the gig I got pampered all day and even given some gold GHDs!!!
What a fab birthday!!! Can’t believe I forgot haha
And, I’ll just finish with this…..Psssssst there’s a SALE at Miss Selfridge on June 6th and 7th GO GO GO!!!
