What a Summer!! I mean, what a year we chose to not go on a big holiday abroad during the Summer months (apart from a cheeky five days in Portugal) because hell, our UK weather was amazeballs!
Let us start with June when we welcomed our stray cat ‘Lionel Richie’ to our home. He is honestly a dude and I love him! He settled straight away probably because he’s sooooo laid back! I’ve even taught him some tricks… he’s like a little dog! In clinic as a vet, you have to have some self control in adopting because there’s always the odd cats protection cat who pulls on you heart strings or stands out but Lionel made that go out the window!
July was the month we went to Nos Alive festival in Portugal. I’d never been to Lisbon before but I’d highly recommend it!!! We ate a lot of Pasteis de nata and tapas. The pastel colours and tiles are beautiful to see!

The festival was also fab. I really wanted to see The Kooks as I haven’t seen them for years, so when they were put on the lineup we decided to make it in to a little holiday. As we pulled up to the festival in the uber for ‘The Kooks’ set time, I could hear Blossoms playing. We later discovered they were pulled in last minute because The Kooks cancelled! They’re one of my fave bands anyway so it was all good! I also watched ‘The National‘ who I’ve never seen live and they remind me of my time in Melbourne. They were amazing!

Also in July, we went for a weekend with my parents and my nephew Stanley, to a quirky place in Lancaster. We stayed in what was like a gypsy caravan with a cute bunk bed and ensuite. We had BBQs and went on some country walks. There were also fairy doors everywhere in the grounds which Stanley was so intrigued by!

August has been the month I finished work as a vet in clinic, we bought a cottage in Wales and we move to a new flat in London. Argh!!!!
We also went to Secret cinema which I didn’t think I’d enjoy but I really really loved it!! Anyone in London should go!
I’ve had a few favourite fashions this summer! Most are sold out now but I’ve found similar versions and linked them all below the pics.
Firstly, its been all the gingham again! I loved my ‘Nobody’s child’ pink gingham dress I wore in Portugal!
I also fell in love with a new Australian brand to me,‘With Jean‘ for their linen and cute cut dresses.
On the bag front, the beaded bag took a step in front of the baskets! I loved the multi-coloured Topshop one I found which brightens up any outfit.

A leopard print skirt was on everyone’s wish list. The Realisation par one was high budget for me so I opted for a silky look-a-like which I loved!
