We at the hotel, motel….

Hello! We just got back from a little weekend trip in the Cotswolds. Richard booked a suprise in the Soho house designed new concept Motel and diner, Mollie’s. It is so much fun and extremely insta-worthy!

We started the weekend with a 10km walk around Farringdon which was sweet! We saw lots of wildlife and the cutest little bopping deer. After the knackering walk, a red wine and crisps in a country pub was much needed before heading on to check in at Mollies Motel and diner.

You check in at the general store which offers toiletries and American sweets. The lobby itself is cool mid-century decor with dim lighting in a nod to 1950s America! It felt like the ‘Tranquility base hotel and casino’ music video. Well done Alex!

The room was beaut and after a quick (amazing) shower and change we headed to get a glass of wine in the lobby.

The hosts are amazing and friendly. They even shared their fave dish ideas from the diner! I put on my gifted Nobody’s Child floral dress which is a great fit with cute frill sleeves!

And lets talk about that diner! Firstly, great staff at front of house to take you to your seat and secondly, amazing food!

Oh thirdly, more amazing decor. Feels like LA but obvs without the warmth πŸ™‚

We opted for Lady A rose and a burger each with a share of rotiserie chicken, fries and coleslaw. They even make their own smokey or spicy sauces to go with everything!

My buttermilk chicken burger with extra gerkins was delish. I’m craving it just writing about it but I’d love to go back to try the veggie hotdog!

Oh, don’t forget the apple pie….. very American!!
